US auto tariffs provide India an opportunity to reassess its policies and build a more resilient supply chain: Rajeev Chaba

Carmakers across the world will be driving with caution as they brace for 25% auto tariffs on all cars being shipped to the US. Reports suggest the levy will be imposed on car parts as well. Charges on businesses importing vehicles will be imposed starting from the 3rd of April. The US imported $474 billion worth of automotive products in 2024. Mexico is the top supplier of cars to the US, followed by South Korea, Japan, Canada and Germany.
